Are you printing using profile or powerdriver. Justin had this same problem and never got to the bottom of it.

I'm running the 5050n and never get these lines but use the icc profile, not powerdriver.

I solved it by getting rid of the 5050  Not heard of this problem with the 3300. Is it under warranty?

This is weird but, ages ago when the Ricohs came out with the sub inks I read a few reviews & a couple of them did mention banding. I'm just wondering if the problem has been there from the start & not fixed as yet.

Have you tried the head alignment feature in the maintenance part of the Ricoh printer? Does the vertical banding occur with standard text, e.g. type TEXT in large bold letters in Word and print (1) via PowerDriver and (2) to the GXe3300 printer. Does banding occur in both prints or just one of them?

Hi thanks everyone for commentsI tried what martin suggested Head alignment totally had me seeing lines everywhere. The vertical lines came only in colour pictures not text so tried printing in Powerdriver no lines lovely pictures tried again in GX3300 vertical lines same as before back to PowerDriver no lines. Thats what I shall be using from now on. Thanks everyone especially martin for helping me get back to normal .
