Would be grateful for any suggestions please. Using B1100 with Artainium EasyFlow System from Martin. System not been touched or refilled since installation. Printer has started putting random red spots on prints, also red ink level has dropped further than the others, haven't been using loads of red. No sign of a leak anywhere. Have a big order to finish by Monday at the latest so panic is setting in. Couple of pictures of what I am getting below.

Have you been doing lots of head cleans? - the magenta ink is clearly welling up in the print head for some reason.

Are the bottles of ink at the same level as the printer? - you haven't raised them up at all have you?

Hi Martin, I didn't do a head clean before printing, nozzle check was fine (incidentally no red blot on that!) and the ink sits on the same level beside the printer and has not been touched since installation. None of the other colours are affected.

I would print a page full of the red hearts to see if that will clear out any of the ink that might be in the printhead and then see if you can print okay after that.

Took two pages of hearts then I got a perfect A3 plus print off of various stuff in all colours. Tried to do my second sheet and .... no ********* red at all! Have done two head cleans, there is loads (75%) of magenta in the ink system, line appears full. Am beginning to despair, any more suggestions would be very welcome.

You can do a couple more head cleans without any problem and leave for an hour if still no magenta. If no magenta after a further round then you may need to re-prime the magenta cartridge.
