Morning guys

Name is John and my partner is Angie.

I was a contributor to the PPP forum and found it a very useful resource for help and whenever possible, helping others.

We started out a few years back doing embroidery mainly for the Ariel Atom Owners Club, it provided us with a slow starting point which was just what we needed as we were both new to embroidery. The learning curve was extremely steep and continues. At firts we used to send off images to be digitized into patterns our machine could use. This was the only way we could start as I had no experience whatsoever of digitizing, let alone the different stitches! However, the downsides were time and cost, sometimes we'd wait for ages for the patterns to come back.

Anyway, here we are a few years on and we do all our own digitizing now. This is great for us as we can really 'go to town' and include detail that others don't produce. Since these humble beginnings, we expanded into DyeSub, well, not really because it was laser sub. We did okay with it but were never happy with the final product, this is the problem with laser. When we saw what was possible with DyeSub, we realised how inferior our stuf was. Recently we purchased a Ricoh GX 7000 Gel Printer and to date, we've only produced coasters and a few shirts but the diffrence is amazing. We've also combined embroidery with heat pressing. Oh, we also produce rhinestone patterns!

This is a combination of embroidery, print & rhinestones - well ONE rhinestone :D

Hi John,

Welcome along! Great to have you here. Excellent photo's as well. I'm sure you'll be a great contributor to the forum. You have an impressive equipment list which I'm sure we will discuss in more detail (Prepare for intensive questioning from me at least!)

I always find it interesting to know were everyone is in terms of setup, running their business etc.

Embroidery is something I've never done but find it very interesting, I'll put a section on the board and see if we get much interest.

I feel this forum needs some more 'posters' to generate more activity. It's always a battle to get a forum going - I know. However, the more people post here, the more ..... well, you get the gist :)

Just setting up the category now John. Yes, we need a lot more folk in here before it starts to roll. I know it will take time but I'm looking at ways to drive traffic in.....any help appreciated!
