Hi guys,

I am just starting up, and am thinking of buying the Epson S22... I assume that this printer is pretty much the same as the S20/21 that many people on here use.

I have searched around and I think it takes the same ink, and therefore same CISS system as S20/S21, but some clarification on this would be good.

I understand about this being an unsupported printer and that is fine with me.

Any reviews, and information on this printer will be greatly welcomed, thank you!

Rob :)

Hi Rob
I have just joined this forum as I am interested in di-subbing mugs and like you I am looking for a cheap way to try it out.
I thought the same as you and bought an epson s22, however I then found out that this printer uses different cartridges to the s20 and s21. I then found out that there are as yet no refillable cartridges available, or at least that was the case 4 weeks ago.
If you are still thinking to go down the Epson route then may I suggest trying to find a SX218 all in one as this uses the same s20/s21 cartridges that are readily available.
I managed to find one a Rymans for £37.49 as an end of line offer.
I hope this helps
Mick

Unsupported doesn't necessarily mean that it will work properly - colour profiling is one of the main issues of using an unsupported printer.
