What is the best value vinyl cutter on the market for a beginner?

Hi
I am looking for a good 24in vinyl cutter but not sure which one to buy as there is so many to choose from.
I would like some advice please and some recommendations on a reasonably priced cutter and what tools i will need for the job of vinyl cutting and pressing.
I have the press but nothing else at the moment.

This realy depend of your budget. If i could afford roland i would go for one. But i can not afford it so o decided to go for chinese cuttee seiki for about £180. It does the job but i wouldnt relay on it as a busines tool.

I did look at the roland but they are a bit out of my budget also. I have about £250 to buy the cutter and tools. Hopefully that will get me a set up.
I have more cash but i will be looking for some stock with that.

Don't know when this will be released in the UK, but, Sillhouette have a cutter called Cameo which is an 18" cutter, maybe MDP will be able to tell you more. There is also the GCC cutters they do a basic 24" (i.e. no optical eye). The other option is again Ebay where some Roland, Mutoh, Summa, or Graphtec machines sometimes come up. Just because it old doesn't mean it's not up to the job.

I had it on ebay but a timewaster meant no sale - I was asking £180ono (mint condition) but would take £150 to get rid if you're interested?

Danni, TBH with the budget you have Adams cutter would be ideal ( and no i dont know him, and am not getting a pint off him) just remembered this post, saw that adams was still available and thought i would pass the info on

Chinese cutters are ok for cutting ABC 123 in a decent size but get down to small and fine details and you'll be doing it mostly by hand.
I'm so glad I saw the light and ditched the chinese plotter and picked up a used graphtec. Time, waste of materials, accuracy, tracking and quality are none of a chinese plotters strong points i'm afraid, but the saying you get what you pay for couldn't be more true.
