Adapted epson printer i believe but does anybody know sombody with one? this one looks pretty sweet as long as it doesnt clog up lol, check it out, i was wondering if anybodys seen these or has one.

Curious as it sprays onto alot of materials, obvoiusly the right alternative for this is the Uv Printer but thats like 27k,

Judging by the PDF, it's an adapted Epson R1900. They also do the Brotherjet 1400 (bet you can't guess what that began life as), see: http://www.brotherjet.com/1390_flatbed_printer.html

I wonder if anyone's tried adapting one of these printers themselves? I have several Epson printers here (R1800, 1290S, and two 1400s). Would be nice if there was a way of using them as DTG printers.

I thought so, i'd love to convert a few of our printers but i've seen some guides online and it seems like so much work lol, people have done it though and seem to be running them just fine, the above just seems like a more professional look, much better than a butchered epson mod.

Whats interesting is that the printer is listed to have a Automatic height measurement and stop. im unsure what that means but my imagination makes it seem awesome lol.

The r1900 is a great printer so it's a good base to start with, we have a r1800 here and thats a pretty sweet machine.

I just dont know how this machine would output when printing directly onto t-shirts, they say it has white ink so can do dark shirts too but it' all just so risky, something that put me off was their lifetime on the shirts

"The printing with our ink can be washed 10-15 times without fading, and 25-30 times after heating at 140 degree. "

Do you know of any other 3d printers? mainstream brands or is the Uv printer UJF-3042 the only printer that can print directly onto hard surfaces such as pens, phone cases, usb sticks etc?

If it was an easy mod, I wouldn't mind sacrificing one of my 1400s - but I'm still holding out vague hope that I'll one day be able to afford ink for my R1800, so I'd rather not tamper with that.
