Hi all,

Apologies if this has been covered, but I have been unable to find anything.

I was wondering if there were any tutorial DVDs or downloads out there that could assist me in learning more about the various methods of dye sublimation/transfer techniques?
I would be interested in all aspects and mediums as I am just researching at the moment what area may be right for me and suit my experiece and contacts.

Many Thanks

Tony

Have you looked on youtube? There is the Printware and Promotion show coming up at the end of Feb at the NEC, Birmingham which would also be a good place to check out if you're local(ish).

Hi Martin,

I have looked at you tube, but was looking for a dedicated DVD rather than lots of 2 minite files with horrible background music.
I am in Birmingham and have got 2 entries to the exhibition on Sunday the 28th for my wife amd myself.
I am very interested in learning all i can and do not mid having to pay for a quality tutorial dvd or similar.

Regards
Tony

are you doing the NEC?
Quite likely, as a guest rather than having a stall. Aiming to probably go on the Sunday (28th). Unfortunately can't really afford the staff/ time etc to have a stall - we keep busy enough :)

That is a shame. Would have been good to visit your stand, as you are too far away for us to pop in.

Have a look at the TMT site, whilst the videos are about their products they will give you some clues abou temperatures and times.

We've been discussing putting guides and tutorials up on the forum, something that the new site will be able to handle better. it won't happen for a while but we'd appreciate any input or requests.

Justin :-)

Interesting to see them holding the transfer in place with the spray instead of heat tape. Not something I've tried but looks good.

I use the spray for t-shirts. Great stuff but I got it from Subli Nation and have not seen it stocked by anyone else since. Going to panic a bit when it eventually runs out :(

Looks like some people are using 3M Spraymount. Not cheap but I don't think you need to use much on each application. Could get messy if you do!

Panic over. Looks like subli supplies have started selling it again, 99% sure they didn't have it last time I looked :D

This one is heat resistant. You don't use very much but on t-shirts it's great for holding the paper in place.

I have a habit of posting things up on here from various suppliers and then find out Martin does them, so I feel guilty as being the only supplier who posts on here I feel he should be the first company to benefit Honestly Martin I have checked your website but couldn't see the spray :)

Don't worry about that. The forum works better with comments from everyone including recommendations of other products from other suppliers. This isn't a bms forum (not like other forums ;) ) so I think everyone should feel quite at ease about what they post.

...and no we don't stock it. Personally we never use tape on printing t-shirts - just paper down, silicon sheet over the top and press.
