quick question; i'm going to fire up the new press this afternoon, coralgraph combo mug press, and the instructions state first mug in machine, turn on, 200/300secs at 160deg - or - 300secs at 180deg , then subsequent mugs at 180/180.
nice consistent instructions asides, but would it not be better just to heat the machine up with a spare mug in then just run with 180/180 (or time adjusted if req)?

I always warm mine up with a spare mug, at least then I know the actual mug run is going to be consistent

As above, warm up first with blank sacrificial mug in and a good start would be 180/180. If using a Ricoh both heat/time can come down a bit.
