stupid question coming, when you say mouse, is it pen shape, what I need to do is import and trace or copy over the image, is that possible

are we talking about the same object when i you say tablet i assumed you meant a square thing with a pen not an i pad . I assume that the traceing or copying over an image depends on what software you use

I do mean a square thing with a pen, I have no idea what software I'll need or if there is one that can do the job, so I am open to all suggestion even it means changing directions what I have in mind. Which is vague I know. Sorry

well a tablet is pretty much a glorified mouse, its definatly more acurate when doing fiddly stuff the software that came with mine is pretty basic but tbh what you want to do is more about the software than the tool , it sounds like you need somthing like illustrator

THey are supposedly good if you have the cordination - i just cant get the hang of them but stuck in my ways i guess with my mouse! Now if i could afford a Wacom cintiq (a tablet with a screen) i would be happy!

I have a Wacom one and it's great! When I got mine it came with all the software you need to get started including PhotoShop Elements. You don't actually get any disks, instead you get a load of install codes and you have to download the software from their website.

Sounds good, I really would like the big ones like you see being used on american chopper.
I have more chance of learning to fly a space ship me thinks :-)

I'm still looking to purchase for one, but I got side saddle by life and family and seeing the thread pop again made me realise that its time to get back into the swing of looking. I know that I need one of the smaller ones.

I have a Trust A5 tablet which is easier than using a mouse, but the wifes desktop computer is a HP IQ700 which has a 19" touch screen and that is very handy as the cursor moves one to one.

Well, I purchased my Medion graphics tablet from Aldi years ago and the touch sensitive pen does makes tracing images a lot easier.

If you want a cheap tablet that seems to do the job then take a look here:

I have that tablet too and I highly recommend it. They really have some high quality electronic products at Aldi from time to time!
