It'll take you for ages to learn to digitize your own patterns so to start with I'd use a digitizing service. This will get you going and help you start earning. Meanwhile, you can learn to digitize but be prepared for a struggle.

A good digitizer is HERE (http://www.anydigitizing.net/index.htm)

Also this is a very good libary of patterns HERE (http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/default.aspx)

If I was starting out again I'd probably go for Wilcon's Deco Studio - it's based on Coreldraw

What PC do you have and what operating system?

I have two lap tops and a pc which is work only based and all vista operated when you use a digitizer is your art protected of which I means they won't give it to anyone else. Sorry to ask but have never used this service its one things I need to know. I only know how to use photo shop, when I brought the brother machine I also brought the software that they use for digiting with their machine. Sorry if this sounds confused.

Copyright is something you'd have to ask the digitizing company - it's a very difficult subject particularly when it crosses continents and cultures.

If you purchased software with your PR600, it seems you have all you need. There's probably a way of importing an image, usually jpg or bmp format. Then you trace the image and fill with stitches.
