I'm trying out some baseball caps on a cap heat press and I was wondering why the flock I'm using (BMS) leaves a residue of glue on the cap? I'm pressing at 160C for 15 seconds as specified by BMS. Anyone have any ideas?

glue from under the flock or glue from carrier sheet?

glue from the carrier leaves a big square (or whatever shape I cut the carrier into)

try 170C for 10sec.
I had glue problem when my flock was stored to long in my room. didn't use it for about 3y and then decided to go for it. but all fluffy bits was gluey too. I would try rise temp a bit as 160 for flock sound not enough.

I am learning more about flock, it maybe due to the amount of pressure used whilst pressing. Maybe try less pressure as the glue maybe getting squashed out from your cut design. Also, lower temps and times might be a factor?

yeah. damn true this is. not to heavy pressure on flock! I would recommend fair medium :)

damn... just when I think I have things figured out something else comes along to bite me. why do i have to think up new and interesting ways to frustrate myself now?
