View Full Version : Reds coming out pink
Was trying to print the tennents logo today, and it was coming out pink, even though it's clearly red. :(
I'm using a ricoh gx7000 with subli inks, corel X4 with sawgrass profile and using both jetcol and trupix papers.
Any ideas why it won't come out red?
It's driving me crazy.
Thanks
what time and temp r u using?? also picture would help ;)
Tried on a tshirt at 180 for 60 seconds, all the other colours came out OK.
It's the T from the tennents logo, with a St Andrews flag on it, and a red outline.
My son has taken his memory stick away again, so I don't actually have the image here, forgot to save it to my other lappy.
It was something his girlfriend made for her college course, will try and get it back again, but won't be until tomorrow at the earliest

Are you using a profile or PowerDriver? The profile is for use with the GX5050 - for the GX7000 you should be using the PowerDriver software.
Sorry Martin, yes, it's the Powerdriver that I'm using
Might be the temp. If you've got a ruined t-shirt already then print out a couple of small versions of this picture and press onto the t-shirt at 190, 195 and 200 and see if that gives the right red. I'm always cautious about temps on t-shirts as they can be prone to scorching (leaving a yellowing where the heat press makes contact if too hot).

In the powerdriver make sure you do not have coloursure ticked as this changes reds to pink.
Also, it is worth checking that the logo is actually in a cmyk colour rather than a spot colour as spot colours can behave strangley when printed.

Ah, thanks Dave, I did have the coloursure ticked, will try it without and see how it goes :)
