went to try out some new designs tonight.

usual temps and times my mug press is always set at..mug in, press start---

paper going brown at top - black coming out diff shade, reds going pinky...WTH

i aint touched nothing since the last mug last week....

next mug - same settings -

faded at the bottom corners......some strange shit going on here.....the mug gremlins have been in over the week

ONLY THING I DID DIFFERENT THAN NORMAL, WAS MAYBE SLIGHTLY MORE PRESSURE.

surely that wouldn't cause this ?

oh...BMS MUG PRESS AND MUGS before anyone asks

time- 180sec
temp 180c
medium to high pressure

mug in before for preheat.......

Same equipment, same supplier, ultra white mugs.
170 degrees, 140 seconds.
Any hotter and / or longer and I get browns from black and reds go off, sort of vaguely dirty faded.

Not saying It's the answer, just my figures.

I do mine 180 degrees for 140 seconds and light pressure just enough so mug dont turn when clamped

Settings should be: idle temp 110 degrees, mug in and press start button, operating temp 170 degrees, time 140 seconds. Blacks going brown is too high a temp for too long (temp settings are for Ricoh printer and SubliJetR inks, Artainium inks would require 180 degrees).

i dont use idle martin - set for 170 for idle and printing...i just put blank mug in while heating, then whip it out 2 secs from 170....insert printable mug and press start
lowered the temp to 170c - time to 175sec.....yes.

back to good again....

really strange i had been using 180 and 180 since day one......could be something to do with inks settling ?
