Hi Guys! I wonder if an one know where i can get cheap screen wash that will wash plastisol ink off?
I can get it for about £15 per litre but surely there must be some good alternative there?
£15 is a bottle of vodka!! but that wont wash plastisol off :)

Hi Paul,
You want to be buying in 5L to keep the litre costs down.
Try Colenso, or you might get a good price from here (http://www.screencoloursystems.co.uk/Auxilary/scrmak4.html#AQ950), bought some ink from there and it was quite a good price.

Cheers John

Thanks John! But cant see the prices.
any way I need some small amount only as my printing is only few off and its only for myself as i am still learning.
How about any diy products??? can i get anything in b&q that will work or do i really need to order ir online?? as in most cases shipping is huge :/

Give turps (http://www.diy.com/nav/decor/decorating-supplies/treatments-cleaners-protection/treatments/-specificproducttype-turpentine_substitute/B-and-Q-Turpentine-Substitute-750ml-12207548) a go, it should take the ink off the screen after finishing a print run. £2.98 at B&Q (http://www.diy.com/nav/decor/decorating-supplies/treatments-cleaners-protection/treatments/-specificproducttype-turpentine_substitute/B-and-Q-Turpentine-Substitute-750ml-12207548)

If you're finished with the screen completely, and need to wash it off, you'll have to degrease the screen after stripper and turps have been used before you can coat it again - Fairy Liquid is a good degreaser but wash off with plenty of water.

Cheers John

Surprised white spirit didn't work as you can thin plastisol with it.

I'm not saying turps will work - but it may be worth a try.

I will have a go :)
I remember i used proper stuff and it washed plastisol off with easy. But with white spirit it took some time to remove it and still there was something left :)

When to art2screenprint

hate to make posts like this, but imho be careful with their stuff. i received very dodgy ink and also emulsion a number of times from them. the final straw was when the replacement ink they sent was also unusable.

Did you get over the problem Paul?
How's the screen printing going, did you end up making your own plastisol transfers?
