its clear and i tried using it when transferring 3g jet opaque at 350f and 30 secs do you think its due to needing to press for 10 secs then cool peel then repress for 20-30 secs?

Is this tape specifically for the transfer of vinyl for garments?

Used to get this with the green tape occasionally, switched to the brown tape and no longer have any issues. The brown tape is rated for higher temps and works a treat.

it is the tape or transferring vinyl to garments yes its in a4 sheets

I would concur with Justin then in that the tape is not designed for such a high temperature (which is a little surprising)

Like Justin I had issues with the green tape so switched to brown and never looked back

that stuff doesnt come in a4 does it? it has to be clear as it covers the whole area of the text so for placement need to see through it, i have seen lots of videos on youtube using it but still have problems, its not like the tape used for mugs etc its a4

Hi Soulclaimed

I would suggest trying a different application tape. Siser do a couple of transfer films and I have never had a problem with either at 180 degrees c (350f), even when I forgot I was pressing something and it was under the press for three minutes!!!!

The buttons didn't look too good though :-)

Siser are sold by grafitype and you can purchase it by the meter.

Why are you using transfer tape for text?

So it stays in the correct layout as its standard aerial font with separated letters can anyone tell me how to get rid of the residue once its on the shirt?

You seem to have 2 similar threads running at the minute which won't help with responses.

Are you using vinyl lettering here? If so, is the material not sticky? If not, as previously mentioned you need wider application tape.

let me try and understand to help the answers come in, you are using 3g jet opaque, then you are contour cutting around the individual letters, then you are using a heat tape to fix all the now weeded letters and then press them as a self made transfer ?

as John says what are you using and is it from yolo ?? there should not be any residue

Mrs maggot you are correct but the one I got was from eBay I don't know if its a yolo one the sheets have no branding on

Well, there's your answer.
If you're using yolo transfer sheets, buy their masks - then you'll know it works.

I'm also thinking of getting into laser transfers for the self weeding aspect can anyone tell me a cheap laser printer that will do the job I don't require white ink
