It looks like my hunt for a heavy duty swing press is sorted. 280 mile round trip next week to collect, but it looks promising.

Thanks all for your input.

Janners.

What one did you buy then?

This little beauty (well I hope it is!) a schultze swing expo, I will know more when I pick it up next week! I gather they are rather well build. The story is the company buys a new press every 2 - 3 years. They have 2 presses on the go doing football kits hence the presses get changed every 5-6 years. The manufacturers plate shows this to be just over 5 years old, so that ties up.

What will you be using it mainly for, might pop around when you got your set up all finished, will be nice to see how other people do things

Hi Jenny
I am a bit like a magpie with machines,
You're always welcome when you are in my neck of the woods, as you know we are very much alike in many ways ... make a change for me to make you a cuppa, it's normally me drinking yours on my travels!

Looks good, I guess it can open quite wide with that design.

Jenny - where in the "south" are you?

It does indeed open rather wide, in excess of an inch and still locks down, how wide I don't yet know.

That's a solid looking press. Must admit Schultze is a brand I'd never heard of before. I only ever use swingaways as keeping your fingers away from the hot plate is always a good idea.

Hope you have fun with it.
