Hi guys

Just seeking opinions on cap heat presses.

I'm not really looking for a combination press but more a purpose designed press for caps.

Cheers

John

I have been tinking about one as well, but need to work out if I can get enough work for it!

Mine gets used most for printing chest and sleave logos on polo shirts. Really good for that.
Eg press image on rear of polo, out press sleave, get the timing right and I can sail along. Caps.... Never done them!

echo Jmugs, most use is for arms and breasts!
We sell a lot of hats, most are undecorated, I could not justify £700 for a new press, got very lucky s/h thou.
We find it a lot harder to get a good margin on hats, blanks cost about the same as T, but cannot achieve similar end price.
Useful extra gadget, but ours gets a lot less work than I imagined on hats.

Just a bump to this thread guys :) I've seen baseball style caps, Black caps with WHITE text ! Thought white print on dark fabric was a no go ?? Anyone set me straight ?

Oki White printer
Wide format Print and cut (for full colour)
Or good old fashioned white vinyl

will all print/cut vinyl for a hat in the same way they are used for dark garments.

Yes, but the registration on the CMY/WHITE is not good enough and you can end up with the print slightly out of alignment.

You see, that's what annoys me with suppliers. Surely they should have ironed out all these issues prior to going to market ??

Skuse guys, still doing the research thing :) can I print on front & back of the t-shirt ? Does the process differ from a one sided print, will I need to protect the sub on one side whilst pressing the other ? Is there a trick to it ?? Thanx to anyone who takes the time . . . :)
