We have had problems today doing some Easel back Unisub boards,
2085

Pressing at 200c / 60 secs

As you can see from above , we got a very poor result, .......we suspected that the pressure was not enough, so we increased it and did another one
and got the following improved result

2084

Which was a good improvement , but still not good enough.....the pressure was high for this .....(manual press)

I guess the poor result is because of poor pressure being unevenly transmitted due to the easel on the back of the 6mm board.

I was next considering making up something of similar thickness to the actual easel to sit alongside the easel , so that the full board is supported evenly ????

Does anyone else have a better way ??? Some tricks on this one ??

Thanks

Tom

I believe it may have been Paul *but don't quote me on that* that mentioned cutting an old mouse mat or something to sit round the stand to make the back more even..

I definitely think that some makeshift back will be the way forward for you..

I only just found the cache of Educational Video's at the bottom of this forum - had just watched this very same video when this post was made.. There's a lesson there :)
