View Full Version : Ricoh GX7000 paper tray help please
I've always used A4 paper without a problem.
Now I'm trying to use A3 and I can get the paper in OK, but can't get the "lid" to go back on, it won't fit into the slots now and I can't print :(
Any ideas?
Thanks
Are you using A3 paper or US Letter A3 size? One is longer, but thinner than the other which might account for the problem.
A3 size is 297mm x 420mm, US Letter A3 is 11" x 17"
Hi Martin
It's Trupix double letter A3 size that I'm using, can't find a measuring tape to get exact measurements from it.
Going to have afooter about with it and see if I can get it to work.
I just adjusted the paper tray to A3 size and the paper fits, but the lid won't go back on, don't know where I've went wrong, hopefully with a fresh head this morning I will figure it out.
Feel like such a numpty

You don't need a measuring tape - basically A3 is double A4. Get 2 sheets of A4 place together and there you have A3
From memeory John, it's shorter one way, will go upstairs now that I've done all the downstairs stuff and see what's going on.
Total bummer as I've got 17 tshirts to do today :(

A4 = 210mm x 297mm / A3 = 420mm x 297mm
American letter = 215.9mm x 279.4mm
Which means Letter is slightly wider but shorter than A4 (Portrait)
John
When I put the A3 as landscape, and place 2 sheets of A4 on top in portrait, the A4 overhangs the A3 at the bottom, and I have about half an inch showing on the left hand side of the A3 landscape.
Gosh, that doesn't make much sense
I've got it printing :D
Had a total numpty moment, forgot to adjust the lid on the printer tray

Then you don't have A3 then - fold A3 in half and you get A4 :D
It's that 11x7 paper I have John, found a measuring tape
