Wooden Postcards

Just wanted to big up Guy from The Wooden Postcard Company and perhaps provide others on here another product opportunity if you sell direct to gift shops like we do.

As the name suggests then "The Wooden Postcard Company" are the UK leading printer of artwork onto wood the size of a postcard which are writable with a pen.

We tried doing this a couple of years ago thinking that heat transfer paper would work and although the print wasn't bad the wood just warped badly. Little did I know you need a specialist DTG printer and heat is certainly NOT involved.

See below for a photo of the ones we are launching today. RRP is £3.95 Wholesale is £1.62 BUT Guy would do you a deal if you are having bespoke cards made to sell to retailers so you can make a nice margin of course.

Nice idea. Something really different from the usual run-of-the-mill stuff.

Have met them at tradeshows we've exhibited at, along with TimberGram who have a similar product - not sure which company was first to market with the postcard, but we saw TG at tradeshows before WPC (were set up next to TG at a London show when we were both in our first year of business IIRC)

Shame you can't look round the site without having to set up an account though!

They have a catalogue which arrived with our postcard order today so you could phono up and request one perhaps. Although they mainly deal with custom orders of course so unless you're a gift shop looking to buy in pre-printed designs it may not be that applicable. Within minutes of taking an order to a tourist gift shop they started selling!
