13oz Bone China Issues
We have started using the larger 13oz bone china mugs but having big problems with the positioning of template being a more fuller mug. We find that we cannot get straight sides to the artwork when paper pulled tight and when we do think it is then we get a blow out to the bottom of the artwork as no doubt the paper is not as tight as it should be. We are using a mug press rather than oven. Any advice on perhaps needing a tapered artwork (rather like latte) or whether there is some other trick to getting a perfect print? Thank you. Olly

I only do bone china mugs in the oven. I've always had issues with them in the press. What shape are the ones you are pressing?
I cut the transfer into the two sides and use a wrap and oven. If the mugs are slightly conical it's the only way to do them.

Thank you for your response. We are in fact printing a complete artwork wrap around it rather than two sided press which makes things a little difficult. We have an oven so could I ask what time and temps you use?

I do two at a time at 180C for 360 seconds.
