Versaworks is RIP software that help communicate with your printer. You can think about it as poverdriver for sawgras printer and inks. Its a very powerful printer driver.
Any design work, vectorising, adding cut lines etc need to be done "outside" of versaworks. In software that works for you. Corel or illustrator will work best. Personally i like illustrator.

Ah, I see, thanks Paul.
this has been a very helpful thread, - we get our versacamm next tuesday!
excited!!
Versaworks comes with instructions on how.to load colour palette with cut contour colour required to put cutline around you image, coreldraw is written into these instructions, you'll need to ensure the cut contour colour is set in your editing software whatever you use
I have sorted it out now thank you. The issue was my windows 7 (Home Edition) Versaworks does not recognise the cut lines only on windows 7 Pro , I had to change the settings to administrator in order for the cutlines to appear.
Unusual, we have 7 pro and home and both work with cutlines, perhaps you had a user account without admin rights.
