No such thing unless you are thinking of vinyl for high energy plastics.
3M Vinyl isn't that different to standard pic vinyl? I was informed it is more suitable for outdoor car vinyl badges/decals ?
What are the benefits of purchasing a branded vinyl such as 3M, Metamark etc?
What do you mean by outdoors decals/badges? Most decals/badges end up outdoors at some time or other so a bit more info would help in helping you. Are you looking for decals going on bikes, cars, walls, windows etc etc because there is a variety of vinyls on the market for each of these applications. Are you looking at self coloured decals/badges or printed ones?
I would like to create some badges for cars/windows, the vinyl adhesive I have doesn't appear to have a very sticky backing when applying.
I have also applied resin to some of the vinyl stickers with the same results, I have attached a image of the media type and the type of badges I would like to create.
What vinyl are you using at the moment because unless there is something wrong with it or it is not intended for the purpose you are putting it to I can't see what difference it makes to the adhesive qualities.
I purchased the following media https://www.grafityp.co.uk/digital-m...eric-blockout/
DG 100 GLOSS BLACKOUT DIGITAL
Ahh that's the easy removable stuff, might as well have used static window film.
They don't advertise it as that this is the description they have on their site DG Cal 100µ white blockout monomeric digital print film. 50 metre log. Permanent acrylic adhesive. Suitable for interior and exterior use.
What would you reccommend for permanent outdoor use? long lasting
Thank You
everyone has their own preference..... at the moment I like Poli=Print 820 Digital.
They do in the link you posted

You're looking for permanent, just be careful as some permanent vinyls will damage car paint especially any crap body shop repairs :eek:Quote:
S05S and S06S white gloss removable advertising vinyl for solvent and eco-solvent Printers for short term commercial vehicle advertising. Removable for up to 12 months with an outdoor life expectancy of 3 years. Easy to apply and remove media with a dense black glue which allows the back ground to be blocked out when fitted to a dark surface. This film doubles up as a superb short term window advertising film with its blockout adhesive.
Give Grafityp a call and chat with their people. I use S05S as well as S22P amongst others. They also have a seemingly nice easy apply 'air free' vinyl for eco solvent print that I am intending to try. The one you are using does what it says on the tin....the adhesive remains as a 'removable' product for up to 12 months from application hence it's adherence qualities make it 'appear' to be less than other vinyls with a permanent adhesive.
Thanks for the help. That particular description i posted was off GrafityP not MDP Supplies where I purchased the roll from but i believe it may be the same media.
I will give GrafityP a call tomorrow hopefully they can give me a deal considering I only purchased a printer from them last week.
