Paul, I would not touch Mimaki with a barge pole and you are the first person in 30+ years that I know of who suggest Mimaki over Roland. That said, if they work for you then stick to it mate :-)

I agree, but speak to them about that. There are lots of things you can do to prevent this, for example asking how long it takes them to restock and then you making sure you always have enough to...
Are you sure that TMT understood you correctly. Only reason is I thought I would need a new OKI last year (turns out I didn’t) but when I spoke to them they said I could use the existing Space...
As justin says, do a search for ball press. You will find that many of the cheaper hat presses (like mine) come with a ball press attachment.
When I did them I used TMT laser paper as I found that...
Hi Gazfocus
Mine are just wee wee ecotank 1810. The key is to get the right paper (ink experts versa)
My only gripe with the Ricoh's is that you can not print edge to edge. Like you I always print mugs on paper pre cut to size. My mug paper is 97x240 so that it fits up the handle and top to bottom....
I'm the same as UK Printed Mugs and print thousands of mugs and bowling bottles.
Heat Shrink film does work but you can also get an all over print in a tumbler press. The link below takes you to a...
I can not answer for that particular software, but it really gets my goat when a piece of software that has worked perfectly for several years all of a sudden packs up. Whether that is because of a...
Speak to someone like XPres who sell large format heat presses. They will probably have something that you can cut to size.
If alignment is critical then I would think the only way to do it would be by getting a larger corex sheet, laying down the vinyl and then trim.

Also, have you cleaned the sensor strip?
It could be some dirt or foreign material that is affecting the print.
Personally I would be surprised if it was this, but well worth a try

It could well be the media setting is cooked....
Perhaps try it on the following:
GENERIC VINYL 1
HIGH SPEED
If that works then have a play with a few different media settings until you...
Thinking of putting up for sale one of my Adkins Heat Presses.
Its 20x15" and if you know anything about heat presses you will know that these really are a workhorse. Full specifications on these...
Do you have a picture of the blurry result?
Depending on what it looks like it could be a really easy fix.

Hi Earl
Hope all is well with you and you are enjoying retirement :-)
I am wanting to print the scarves in house as I have an idea for them, I have Googled and "You Tubed" and have not found...
Does anyone know how they print football scarves?
I have looked at quite a few and am pretty sure they are sublimation, however if the temperature is too high it creates a sheen on the polyester...

DOn't know the model number but it is this one....

The only way I know that you can check the vacuum on a printer is by turning the machine off, disconnecting the waste ink tube AFTER the capping station, inserting a syringe and tring to pull ink...
It sounds to me if you have a vacuum problem which is quite common when doing the maintenance yourself. It's almost as if they give you instructions but miss that little bit of info about how to...
Neil Brothers sell them but you would need to purchase £300+ of items. Worth taking a look to see if there are other items you sell lots of to make up the total (assuming you do not require 136 units)
That might be a problem with the paper.
Try some other paper (even if its not sublimation) and see what you get. Ideally a half decent weight paper such as 115gsm or 120
Hi Saskia
Welcome to the forum and great to hear that business is doing so well. Had a sneak peek and love your style of illustration.
I am very north :-) I live in Conwy, but my business unit is in Rhuddlan. Not sure what route you would take to Tywyn but you are always welcome to pop in for a cuppa :-)
