Cheers. How many pressings do you think you've had out of a single heater band?
Thanks for the reply but it looks like your Genie mug press heater band is an incompatible model with my Genie III.
Does anyone know where I can source a new 10/11oz Standard Durham heater band for my Genie III mug press? Normally I'd go with Listawood, but at £62+VAT it's almost twice the price of similar heater...
Thanks, SweetPea. The reply I just received from Sawgrass gives a similar suggestion to the video you linked to:
Thank you for contacting Sawgrass Technical Support.
Please use the link below...
I've contacted Sawgrass and I'm waiting for a reply. If I get any info I'll post it here.
My SG400 has recently started printing out my papers (I use pre-cut mug papers mostly) a little skewed. No amount of loading/reloading, adjusting or wiggling seems to help. Does anyone have a clue...
Thanks, Justin.
I'm thinking about getting a DSF premium membership. I believe one of the benefits is discounts on certain suppliers hardware/consumables. Does anyone know if any stockists of Stahls heat presses...
I just use a standard tape dispenser but put two rolls of heat tape on:

Thanks for the info. I quite like the Maxx presses. I think that's where I'm going to plant my flag!
I kind of have my heart set on a new machine. I get what you're saying about a swing press, and I'd love to have one, but firstly my budget won't quite stretch to it, and secondly I have very limited...
Thank you for the advice and links, Justin.
So I've decided to up my heat press budget by over 50%. Considering this Adkins press:

Any users of this press here? Pros & cons?
What's the make & model?
Cheers. I'll check it out.
Could I ask why you're selling this please?
Thanks for that info, Billy, and for your advice. I appreciate it.
My output will be relatively small. Just dipping my toes, and as far as t-shirts go, if I get 10 orders a week I'll be happy. It does make sense to go big. Maybe I'll just save up for a few more...
I was thinking about that but £450 + 20% VAT puts it a little out of my price range, unless there's a 3rd party selling them cheaper. I do know that Stahl are built to last of course.
Thanks for the reply, Billy. I'll checkout your link now.
Been using a mug press for a couple of years now and I'd like to try my hand with a flatbed heat press for doing mouse mats, t-shirts, etc.
My question is, is it possible to get a reliable decent...
What I do now is turn on the mug press, then wait for the temperature to get to 180 degrees. I then put in the mug*. The temperature immediately starts to drop of course - usually for me down to...
I just pop about an inch of the base of my mugs into the press for about ten seconds to get the base warmed up, much like the guy in this video at 2:32: https://youtu.be/as0eExWknHs?t=152
So I ordered some of the 5013 mugs from Xpress, which arrived this morning. 10 mugs sublimated, 100% success with each! I also ordered a box from Signzworld as well, just to see if they can possibly...
