Thanks for the tips.
I've just got it sorted.
At the beginning, in Sawgrass Designer, when you click on Mugs, then up 'wrapped' or 'tiled' there's a drop down list. I've managed to add my paper...
Got my SG400 printer, mug press etc. delivered on Wednesday.
Set it all up last night, and sublimated a mug no problem.
Went to do the same this afternoon and it's all gone to... well, lets just...
No plans to try and make a living out of it. It's just a sideline for me, although I probably will buy a Blizzard oven at a future date if I'm fortunate enough to get a big order.
I think I'll definitely move into other areas of sublimation in the future.
I'll see how the mugs go and reinvest any profit.

That's kinda what I was thinking.
I'm not doing in the hope of a standalone business, more just an add on to my current business.
After saying I am swaying toward an oven (halogen or air fryer to start), I've just bought a Mug Press! Surprise to me too! :)
After saying, I'm waiting until the New Year and going to Xpres before...

Thanks
I'm new to sublimation as well, and I'm currently researching the best way to go.
For printer, I'll probably buy the Sawgrass Sg400 new, that way I'll have support (hopefully) for any issues.
I'm...
I will definitely be joining, I was a member back in 2014 :)
I've read the Blizzard oven thread and will probably go that route eventually, however just starting out I'm not expecting to sell much...
Thanks.
Yeah, I've narrowed printers to Sawgrass Virtuoso SG400 or go cheap with an Epson.
And I'm swaying more toward, a halogen oven or an air fryer, rather than a Press.
Must keep reading....
Hello,
I first signed up on here in 2014 as I was interested in Mug Sublimation, but then talked myself out of it, as there seemed to be a constant string of problems sublimating on mugs - it's an...
Thanks for all your replies.
I've decided to go with Xpres, they're a bit more money but they're only down the road, which has swung it for me.
Although things are totting up - I was just informed...
Thanks, I'm hoping it's not too tricky :)
Thanks Mrs Maggot, they made my Top 3 but the price put me off. I didn't realise they were so close, might give them a cal tomorrow to see what they can do
Hello,
I was all set to buy a mug press, mugs and paper etc from eBay, until I stumbled upon this forum.
First off, thanks for stopping me making a newbie mistake - buying cheap! :)
After...
Hi,
I'm a publisher of a community magazine and looking at getting into printing mugs (for starters) as an add on - it seems like a mine field though :)
