Hi Linda,
Welcome to sublimation! The Temps, Pressures and times all vary per garment/item - not necessarily by ink or paper.
If you've got some materials you wish to print on that you can list...
Have you done any test prints using the Jig yet? :)
I can see quite a few sellers for the XP 442 with Sublimation inks, and they do use the Micro Piezo print head. I can't seem to see any info from people who have used the XP 442 for Sublimation...
Out of all the sites I've seen, Parcel2Go is probably the best one I've seen - out of all of the options, I would by far prefer to have a delivery made by DPD (even if it means paying a few pound...
I use the sublisplash inks too, And the settings provided by DSS (and in webtrekkers comment) work for me - with the blacks coming out perfectly now I've sorted my double profiling issue (180deg/180s)
l
Seemed to do that only once today, not too sure why it’s done it. But colours are perfect now, appears I was double profiling before.
Only bad thing is the smudge in the corner where I peeled...
Hi Steve,
I'll get that done and sent over as soon as I can. I'm just going to set up the ICC profile Jamie sent over to me on Thursday - appears I didn't receive the initial email with the setup...
Hi Disky,
I had left it around 10 minutes before I'd actually begun to press it - as I needed to cut out the transfer and heat the press up so that shouldn't be a problem.
Yeah, I'm not too sure whether there was a problem with my mailbox - but when you buy, you should get a PDF with setup instructions for the ICC profile - I didn't receive it but they sent it over...
Are you looking for a particular brand of cartridges, or literally any cheap cartridges?
The mug press is extremely simple to get to grips with to be honest, and it takes no more than 2-3 minutes to heat up to temp (180).
I've just come off of Livechat with DSS and they've provided...
Yeah, exactly what I thought. I couldn't quite put my mind on what was causing it to do that - Its on a high pressure, and only seems to occur when the mug has just been placed in the press, and...
I took delivery of one of these kits at the start of this week, the quality of all of the individual items are definately good - although I'm still finding changes I need to make (Temps, Colour...
Hi webtrekker,
Yes, the mugs appear to be perfectly smooth to the eye and the touch.
My printed wrap doesn't fit the whole mug, I think there's about 1.5-2cm either side of the handle which...
Hi All,
I've pressed a couple of test mugs so far to try and perfect my settings and methods of printing, but there's been one problem which has come up a few times. Down in one of the bottom...
Yeah, I just wanted to get an initial print done to test it was all working - wasn't too fussed about the design, just wanted to see if I could get the colours right. My biggest problem so far is...
I'm pretty sure that was one of my problems. I pressed It, and the grey shaded areas almost appeared to come out with a dark blue tiny on the design. Only defects with the actual press was a little...
I decided to press it literally just after I posted that comment. It was almost because the image I used has a gradient style effect, and it looked completely black on the paper. I’ve pressed it ans...
Righty. Got the printer and everything from DSS - didn't appear to get anything with their branding in the packet - just done 2 A4 test prints, and the colours on the paper appear really dull and...
Okay perfect, thank you. I'm sure everything should be Okay, I've discovered your YouTube channel which seems to have answered most of the questions I had :)
Thank you for the response :)
I've been a member of this forum for about 11 months now, and only surfaced to my mind about a month ago - it's definately a good resource for learning and seeing...
Yeah it is quite frustrating, but it's just one of those things that happens. It should be arriving tommorow though :)
Photoshop is quite reasonably priced since the launch of Creative Cloud, so rather than being a lump sum, you can spend from £10 a month to get the latest version available.
I almost went to go and get it today. It arrived at a delivery depot literally 30 mins from my house, but by the time I'd got a response from DPD the depot had closed - which means waiting until...
