Epson 7890 - Leave on or switch off?

As per the title, is there any benefit to leaving a 7890 on all the time, i.e. self maintenance etc. or is it better to power on and off every day?

Apologies in advance for answering my own thread but may prove useful to others. I wasn't aware the printer could be set-up for periodic or 'every job' nozzle checks and auto head cleaning :-) Not sure how often 'periodic' is...that'll be my next search then!

Hello Justin I got my 7890 from Nova Chrome, they told me to keep it switched on all the time, but set it up for manual nozzle checks, think there would be to much ink going to waste, how often would you need to do a head clean?

I've been wondering about room temp. as well. I have a background heat on all the while right now to keep stock/paper etc. from getting too cold. I'll see how often it does the maintenance :-)

I very rarely need to do a clean on mine, room temperature is coldish ie shirt and fleece on sometimes jumper as well. I leave it on saves on ink at the start up.
I have no maintenance schedule set up.

Have not been much help have I!

Hahaha, not at all, all opinions are valuable. I wonder if they're better in a colder or warmer environment now! ;-)

    Hi Justin
Every time you start it, it will flush some ink through.
