    Idiots guide to photoshop

I really struggle with photoshop (CS2) Iv'e looked at the vids on youtube etc but think i'd be better off with a book so i can go at my own pace with it. Can anyone recommend a decent mugs guide (forgive the pun) to it.
I got my printer set up yesterday and did my first mug, after messing about for a couple of hours with photoshop I gave up and used vinylmaster to set it out, it was only text anyway but came out quite well, i'll stick a pic on later if I can work out how to do it

there are a few online courses you can delve in and out of at your own pace, http://www.lynda.com/Illustrator-tut.../122998-2.html and quite a lot for free. Nip into your local library and get the books, also see if there are any courses at your local college.

Vinylmaster is a very strong programme and I would have thought quite capable of doing mug layouts. Although I use Corel Draw for the majority of stuff I always use Vinyl master for the latte distortions because of the way it can so easilt envelope both vectors and bitmaps. I always put it back into Draw for printing but you should be able to print from VM and especially if you are using the PowerDriver. Not tried it yet but should work

I just got a cheapy epson on ebay
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1716526290...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

It is just an hobby for me so I didn't want to spend too much, If I get into it i'll probably go for a ricoh. Having said that it does seem to work ok but iv'e only done 2 mugs and no images yet so I don't know about colour balance yet, If I get chance later I will try and do one with your "test" print on.
Thank you for all the help and advice received
