    Cutting fabric

    Hi all!
I wonder if anybody have some experience with cutting shapes with regular cutter? I own gx24 and wonder if I could get any tips!

Hi Paul. Not something I've tried but I believe using spray starch to stiffen the fabric before cutting and using a 30° blade helps. Also use a cutting mat that is tackier than normal.

Hi Paul. Ive tried and it does not work. Ive tried with 45° and 60° knives, maybe 30° will work. On other forums I see people using laser cutters or a hot knife. I make embroidery patches and applique and cut everything out with scissors. I have a Merrow for the edges so its not too important that my edges are straight.

Probably not any use but the mother in law has a cricut maker Which can cut fabric.
I think it uses a rotary knife blade to cut through it rather than a standard blade.

personally I would not touch another cricut as long as I live.
