Simply put, which is best?
I tried a press similar to the DF1 before but had problems with fading on the top and bottom. Is the Xpress studio worth the extra cost?

Worth every penny. I run two of these along with a DF machine. Having owned different presses over the years the Adkins is by far the best.

Thanks for the reply Justin.
do you get fading at the top bottom without having to preheat the mug? Does the Adkins produce better results?
Only if I use cheap mugs! lol. I'm getting best results with Xpres mugs at the moment as they do seem very straight. I try to avoid top to bottom preferring to put a 5mm gap instead as i feel this offsets the gap around the handle. That said, it will do top to bottom without too much fuss. You only need very light pressure with these presses.

Sounds like the Xpress studio is a good piece of kit. Is it the xp5013 mugs from Xpress you recommend?
Yes, it's the XP5013. BMS also do some excellent mugs but with our Premium Membership discount Xpres give some great discounts on blanks etc.
