blades can last months of daily use if you get pressure right, have a fresh cutting strip, and don't cut much glitter or foil, or you can trash one in a day!
Premium blades last longer than cheap ones.

Ive just replaced my blade after two years, and use it nearly everyday, to cut vinyl and sandblast masking, as logobear says, careful cutting and getting the pressure right is the key to longer lasting blades.

Mine last a couple of months. If you are cutting materials like paper, card, holofoil or rhinestone material it can degrade an awful lot quicker.

These are supposed to fit the cameo,

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aluminium-...item3aa822a81a

But I would check first, Iv'e just tried an old cameo holder in my Graphtec 5000 and it's too small, unless they are making the above holders with a smaller diameter.
