Help! New printer (Virtuoso SG400EU) Printing very dark!

I've only had this printer recently from Listawood, the Virtuoso SG400EU and not use it much at all, but the prints seem to be real dark! any idea why?

I have attached the original JPEG oh what they should look like, then 2 of each of the same coaster, but the top line of coasters has the correct settings they recommend in the guide. and the other just normal print settings (as you would print out any piece of paper on any other printer)

    Very confused :(

Coasters are from Xpres (9cm x 9cm hardboard, used these for years) paper is from xpres (A4) and the inks are the ones which came with the printer from Listawood ( Sawgrass)

How long did you press for and what temp. Have you tried a lower time. I have sometimes put the photo into Gimp and just lighten them up a bit before printing them off.
    Many thanks
    Iain

Equipment used A4 Ricoh printer, HP3085 Heat Press Graphtec cutter, Jarin mug press, CJV 30-60 solvent printer and lots of help from DSF.
