    Running ink issues after pressing

I am using pigment inks but still having issues on some tees where the ink seems to bleed after washing, is it pressure or ink load?

I have been using cheap tees to be honest which may be the problem, now using fruit of the loom branded tees (heavy cotton) to see if that changes anything...or have I just answered my own question

have you let the ink dry on 3g? also what settings on your printer are you printing with? if using photo quality you may be using to much ink I usually keep mine on normal a4 paper which works fine

The ink was left to dry yes, using the jpss on id say medium pressure as didnt want to put too much on the garment, i use the matte paper setting as i get better prints, i was using plain papers but the prints were printing out with vertical banding which i did try to fix but since changing paper setting prints are fine. I think matte setting is standard print quality.

If I am printing a blue background, I'm getting a dark blue but very thin lines on horizontal or vertical prints using standard setting on plain papers via my Epson, if for example it's a brown image, dark brown lines appear on the image until i set the printer paper to matte paper which dumps more ink onto the shirt which I don't want. Printer is 3 months old tops. Inks are epson standard claria pigment. I have re-aligned the head and cleaned it 3-4 times and its still there. The lines are only noticable if you really look for them but I want quality prints on my tees.

    HI,

    First off, merry Christmas all!.

Still having a few issues with running ink on tees, using epson pigments original inks, i am using the printer on its normal setting with med to high pressure, getting a bit panicky now as I have sold a few of these shirts (gulp). I am printing direct from photoshop also.

Is it a case off i need more pressure on the shirt as I think the ink load should be ok under normal setting and normal jpss paper, i am using an Epson xp 720 also.

    cheers

    HI again,

I am using a pixmax press which has a teflon sheet on the top platen, I am also using a sheet over the shirt when pressing in case of any scorching, I am wondering whether to just get rid of the silicon sheet and trust the platen teflon covered plate instead as the silicon sheet placed over the shirt may be preventing some of the heat getting to the shirt but I do not want to scorch any garments?
