Thats because there are two ways of writing down those times. 170C/170sec or 180/180sec sounds like the complete press time in the mug press while 170C/70sec is the time after the mug reached 170C in the mug press, thats why it is confusing. That would make sense because 170sec after the mug reached 170C seems to be much to long, i never saw a youtube video or a tutorial with those times, so it must be the complete press time which would be almost the standard time. Most times i saw are actually 170-190C and 180 sec. 170 and 70sec equals probably 190 sec in a press without idle temperature.
