    colours not right

Hi folks, another question from a newbie.

I am desperately trying to get the colours right. At present, my red is printing orange, my bright pink is printing in a coral colour and when they have been put through the dishwasher, they fade quite quickly.

Do any of you lovely people out there have any tips for me - please x

    Cheers

    Caz

hi Justin, I am printing on a Ricoh SG2100 from Silhouette software. All my mugs are from subliblanks and are orca coated. I have the best quality on the printer when printing, my paper is from subliblanks

if you are not using sublimation ink ....... AND .... you don't have icc profiles installed, -
BUT - saying that quality mugs don't wash suggests you are not using the correct inks.
The printer you are using is not not compatable .... you cannot properly flush is out, - you will have to buy a new one and start using sub ink from day 1
    imho

ah, now when I look at the bottles, it does not say Ricoh on it. The printer is a Ricoh printer that I bought as a sublimation printer. It prints the black perfectly - I did go through 2 boxes of mugs to get the perfect temp and time but I got there in the end. The colours are seriously washed out looking. I tried again last night, I had vibrant purple and it printed lilac, the vibrant orange printed peach and the grey star printed beige

I have their inks on long term test, fine in Epson, not so good in Ricoh. Their customer service is useless. Really friendly, offering free profiles but that's as far as it goes. I have several emails here promising they'd send profiles having sent expensive metal etc and nothing.

EPSON INK will not work on ricoh and WILL damage the printhead, the ricoh requires a more viscous ink I have measured the viscosity of both the ricoh and the epson and the ricoh is 2.5 x that of epson ink, this is why the paper is slightly different also as the ink site more ontop of the paper on Ricoh.
