    Polysub Coasters

At around 16p (ex vat) each then these seem a cheap alternative to unisub for small run promotional coasters but are they better quality than beer mats? Will of course buy some in in Jan but if anyone has used these then would be interested in mini review please.

I think I may be able to write my own reply as we found a handful of polysub placemats in our samples box. They are the same thickness as unisub and pretty sturdy. They print better than I thought and texture is like felt as they say. Sadly I do not think these have a place in the giftware environment but purely in the promotional giveaway area which of course is probably what they are intended for. Although price is initially good these are double sided meaning you need twice the ink, paper and pressing time for each coaster. Leaving one side white would be a little odd on these. If a customer wanted to give free cheap coasters away then we would suggest beer mats which can be printed double sided for a few pence.
