Has anyone else noticed that A3 trupix paper (perhaps A4 but we don't use) is a lot thinner than it use to be? I'm not saying it gives any different results (further tests need to be performed) but certainly to the touch it feels thinner.

Is that the make which has an imprint on the back non-printable side?
I'm looking for new A3 transfer paper because the ones I buy from Amazon is really difficult to tell which side to print on. No matter how many times I hold it up to the light or rub it I'm never confident that I've printed on the right side until it's actually been used and sublimated.
A couple of mistakes can be quite costly as you're not just losing the paper but also some expensive blanks.
I've been told there is a make that has an imprint on the reverse side so it is easy to tell which side to print on.

The Trupix paper (regarded by us and others in the industry as being the best) has a darker side on the non-printing side so easy to tell which way up to print in printer (dark side up in Ricoh printers). The paper is still very good but my original question was regarding the thickness but you certainly won't have problems using it.
In the A4, I noticed the box packaging changed but not the paper. I haven't opened my A3 yet.
Yes I have noticed the thickness has changed, it is now a lot thinner. so far I have not used the new paper but in a week I will be giving it a try.
Hi. If you still have old as well as new would you run a couple of tests to see if any difference? It would be good to know if true black, red, green and blue come out the same on a substrate of your choice. Just squares of solid colour would suffice. We would of kept old papers had we known they were changing. I'm sure they should do but with the recent Unisub coaster saga then just our luck if trupix is going downhill as well!
What happened with your coasters Olly?

Still waiting on definitive answer. Xpres was in talks with manufacturer who at the time were at a large trade show so could not jump onto it. Obviously because selling poor quality substrates is more important. Xpres agree that no short solution is going to be possible. Therefore as a company we had to jump ship to an alternative. If Unisub use to be 10/10 for quality then these are 8/10 so adequate for our needs.
