    what printer is the best for sublimation

    hi im just wondering if any of you have had any experience with any of these 2 A3 sub printers any info would be grateful and advice on what 1 to buy

    epson 7110DTW
    epson 1500W

    Loads of threads discussing this. If you need the additional colours the 1500 has the edge, if you want an easy route to market the newer Ricoh take some beating.

    If you have budget then SG800 (before prices go up) otherwise buy 2nd hand SG7100DN. In our opinion.

    Will you printing photographic images or mainly text? If text, go for an office type printer as this should provide sharper text...the Epson 7110. The 1500W is marketed towards amateur photographers so should lean towards giving better graduated colours.

    There have been some problems with the T27 refillable cartridges, that go into the 7110, not working properly recently. There was a long thread on it over on the T-shirt Forums site recently. Admittedly it was in conjunction with a 7610, but the cartridges are the same.

    At less than £200 the 1500w looks good value for money. You will get £35 back on the ink set, if you sell them on ebay.

    Better keep the ink set because you will need it if one day you need to bring the printer for repair
