    Lower pricing on Unisub Coasters

We now supply Unisub wooden 9cm coasters for 48p each / £19.20 for 40, plus VAT. Sold in singles, no minimum order.

We also supply the cork backed Unisub coasters, and a lower cost MDF coaster for 37p each.

    Thanks,

Yes the lower cost coasters have a black base, and they're just a fraction thicker than the Unisub ones, at about 3.2mm.

To compare them with Unisub 9cm coasters, they are black based rather than raw wood based, they have a straight laser cut edge rather than a routed edge, the corners are tighter, and they have a brighter white surface.

They're a new product, and from what we've seen so far they're not as consistent as Unisub, the quality control isn't quite as good, it's generally a cheaper product, but to be fair they are 23% cheaper.

They require pressing at a bit of a lower temp than Unisub, around 170-180C, and they do come with a plastic cover which has caught a few people out, although we're told that in the future they're going to remove the plastic sheet.

If anyone wants a sample, please email your address to support@subli.co.uk

    Thanks

Unfortunately not, the folk who made them can no longer source the board :-(

Shame as the cutting technique was much better than the Unisub.

Yes some people did prefer the straight edge laser cut, the budget coasters are cut in the same way as the UK made ones were, but the board isn't quite as nice quality. Still, they are a good product for the price.
