    Liyu Vinyl Cutter Problem

Hi, I've had a Liyu vinyl cutter for 4 years, bought from Signzworld. Never had a single problem until today. Now, I have areas where it looks as though the pressure of the blade, or depth of cut has reduced, meaning that when it comes to weeding, the vinyl just tears in certain areas. In some places on the vinyl, the blade does not even cut at all. Anyone had a similar problem? I have replaced both the blade and blade holder without any success.

Not sure about the Liyu, but have you tried flipping the cutting strip (the horizontal strip below the blade)? After 4 years of use it may have become uneven.

Great, but remember WD40 is essentially penetrating oil and not a lubricant, so maybe a drop of light oil will prevent that happening again.

Thanks. Will do. It was Mark at Signzworld who suggested it, very helpful.

I think you have a damaged the long ribbon cable. put the carrier in start and then put enter.
then you advance the carrier with the arrow little by little. the blade must be up and if at any time it goes down to the cutter floor, it is because there is no voltage and the cable is damaged. It costs about 35 dlls in China.
