I want to do basic spot colour jobs and CMYK halftone jobs. I understand that micro registration ideal for this, but the second one I posted seems to have atleast a lot more registration control. If it means for time spent setting screens up and spending more time pre registering mypositives on the screen before buring them, this is something i dont mind doing until i can stretch for a more professional bit of kit.

Again, I could be wrong because I have been out of the screen printing game for a number of years now, however in my very humble opinion there is no way you will be able to do halftone jobs with this sort of set up.

Screen printing CMYK halftone is one of the hardest jobs to master and you will HAVE to have decent kit (such as that sold by Dave Roper) to even get close to achieving what you want.

I am inclined to agree, doing halftone & CMYK jobs needs absolutely the very best kit.
imho, not possible with more basic kit

Thanks Logobear. I've had a look at the ones on Dave Rope. They are great but a little over budget. I am wanting to do 1-4 spot colour jobs and CMYK Halftone. What do you all think of this one? It's UK designed and manufactured, States that it has micro reg.. and it does appear to have micro reg and its upgradable. https://www.wickedprintingstuff.com/...sel_P1548.html

I've just sold my Riley Hopkins, bought from Dave Roper. I'm afraid I can't recommend their customer service.

LRC, the wicked press is a tiny shaddow of the one on ebay. Just looking at the lengths and flimseyness of the arms makes me think there is no strength & stability.
\I have not had any issues with Dave Roper .... so far! - he is well respected in the industry - as far as my contacts go.

Thanks logobear. I did look that the oneon ebay and it has a starting bid of 900 which might go up. Also, not only do i have a budget, I am also limited to space. Thats why i was looking at the tabletop carousels. Its looking like im going to have to bite the bullet and spend quite a bit more than i would like to at this stage :( although I do have enough sense to realise that you get what you pay for... unless anyone else can throw some suggestions my way.

I did have issues back in the day, but their kit is faultless.

The hopkins press that ive seen on dave roper is jr and the plattern is only 16x16. Thats what putting me off. Also, it would be good if 8t was upgradable.
