    Bms own coasters....

Looking for other view on this....

We bought there own make of coaster purely because the heat tape DIDNT rip half of the coaster backing off,
when removing the tape after pressing....
The first few batches were great....not one bit of coaster backing coming off.....

The last 2 batches we bought from them, EVERY single coaster is doing exactly what the unisub ones did >>>>

Taking bits of the coaster backing with it when removing heat tape after pressing ....NOW/BUT >>>

What we want to know BEFORE we buy another lot from them is.....
Is anyone else getting the same probs only with bms own make of coasters ?

If not, we can only put it down to the new batch of brown heat tape that just came in around same time the new batch of bms coasters came in....
Maybe the new batch of brown heat tape is more tacky than usual....

If not, we be as well going back to unisub ones - but there is slight saving on the bms ones - hmmmm

    anyone ?

EDIT - it dont matter whether we remove the heat tape hot or cold - same thing happens !

You could make the tape less sticky by sticking your fingers all over it?

As Justin said above - use a jig and if necessary, tape the paper to the jig.

YES!!!! It is happening to all our BMS coasters as well and ODDLY enough we put in a complaint to BMS about the backing issue just last week. We have been talking to Scott who hopefully will look into it. We as well changed over to the BMS coasters about a year ago due to the same thing happening with Unisub.

We "presume" that the BMS coasters are coming from the same manufacturer as the Unisub ones and they use the same backing.

It is again a MAJOR issue as complaints from clients are coming in.

Hot or cold peel makes no difference and we all know useless the Unisub jig is.

Any news from Scott I will post but please also complain as well so they know it is a serious issue.
