    GB-DTG printers

When searching online, I found a company called GB-DTG based in Wembley which sells DIY dtg machines.

Has anyone heard of them before or had any experience with DIY DTG machines?

    The company's website is:

    https://www.gb-dtg.co.uk

There is a YouTube video showing their recent product:

    https://youtu.be/7bl7lOkd-qQ

    Thanks

    Coops

Certainly looks interesting, I've never seen this model before. I see they have the pre-treater as well.

At £2k-£3k I'd be very interested in taking a look. I know so many people that have invested £20k+ only to be disappointed.

The Pro version looks like a very neat setup. I won't pretend to be an expert on DTG and i think it's still a way off but splashing this sort of money wouldn't be the end of the world....£20k on the other hand ;-)

TBH I didn't really notice how slow it was, will watch videos again. It's one of those things, until you stand in front of it and see it printing you just don't know what's been chopped from the video do you?

I've emailed them to find out more info. It does seem a decent site.

Yeah, I was quite impressed with the website and the other videos on YouTube. I've looked at other DIY DTG machines and this looks the best by far.

In regards to the speed, its quite ironic that I'm looking at this machine to help speed up the process of printing t-shirts! At the moment I'm only cutting, printing and pressing 4 t-shirts an hour. I'm definitely not the quickest hopefully this will help speed up the process.

So thats based on the Epson P600, the same base printer the Reveal-S uses. I have seen a couple of these around, including a small outfit in Southend, Essex. Although chatting with him online he said the P600 had more issues than using the older 1200 model. He sold both, so I don't think he had much to gain by exaggerating that.

Not heard of GB-DTG but this eBay seller is very good. He buys the 1500W printers and empty CISS from ourselves then converts to DTG on a to-order-basis. He is very knoweldgable and I have passed a few people his details and had good feedback from them.

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/kestdg?_t...p2047675.l2559

The 1500W based machine at £1400 is not bad at all when you consider the standard printer and CISS is around £380. DTG conversion kit is around $900, factor in labour, the Viper DTG inks, the RIP software and support afterwards and it makes good sense to buy a printers that pre-converted rather DIY.

This is an area I know well as I own an Epson Surecolour F2000 DTG and can say that it's a great piece of kit. Bit more than the home built ones but I can produce top quality T shirts with it.
I'm trying to get into Sublimation for mugs and alike as I'm always asked if I can do that sort of thing.

I've attached a photo of my set up and an example of the print.
