I dont know about the brother. however I know a little about vinyl. I have just started with vinyl about one month ago and i love it but its expensive. I cut out on paper first to make sure its doing exactly what I want then I repeat job with vinyl. it works for me. I have a Cameo 3.

£100 was a good price. I have heard they are pretty good, although some have said the silouette cameo 3 is better for the actually print and cut if thats what you need. Should be good for vinyl though. I agree about testing first on paper/card first too.

card is a bit heavy for testing for me because I want to use the same force and speed as I would for the vinyl and paper is about the same thickness and the vinyl I am using.
