I don't think so, I don't get all that much with them so probably wouldn't qualify. I've ordered some card up to see how the HP prints.

We got the card in but it's not suitable for the HP inks we have and doesn't dry due to the card coating.

We had a supplier lined up to print the A3 card to get us through a job we have in but they've let us down. Can anyone supply printed card pretty quick turnaround? It could even be A4 to be honest as we'll be cutting into smaller cards anyway and would be easier to ship.

It would need to be a high quality print onto 300gsm card and detail is quite sharp with smallish bar codes.

If anyone can help with this please PM asap, my only other option is to invest in another blooming A3 printer as initially thought!

We'd actually get away with an A4 printer looking at this job again. The Canon seem to print onto the Canon 101 Matte 300gsm paper which may well do the job...until we find a cheaper alternative!

My Canon Pixma ix6850 prints to 300gsm no problem. I use it every week to print on heavy magnetic sheet.

Is the print very crisp? I'd expect it is on the Canons.

Quality is very good Justin. I don't have any 300gsm to print on at the moment but would be happy to send you a printout of anything you like on photo glossy or brochure paper, which is what I mostly use, for comparison purposes. My printer prints up to A3+.

Thank you and I appreciate the offer. Unfortunately I have to move quickly to get this job sorted so I'm looking to get a printer ordered today.

I know the 100S would do the job very well if I get the right card/paper but not sure as I need to spend that much.

Any idea which card/thick paper would be best? Do I need to use the Canon 300gsm matte photo paper?

To make the cards more presentable I'd probaly go for an Ivory colour rather than white with a textured finish, such as fine linen. All depends on what you consider a reasonable cost for these cards though.

I have some 280/300gsm card here, white and off white. These are both coated but I think they may work through the Canon, only one way to find out I guess!

Really need to keep the costs down on the card but it's finding that perfect balance between getting the right print vs cost.

I know you plan on using a corner rounder Justin but, if you have a cutter that uses a mat you could also contour cut some nicely shaped cards. Just a thought.
