Hi, peoples, quick question I have a Mug press on the way from China ST-130 but have been watching many a Tube vid on
pressing mugs and well some use Teflon sheets some just regular copy paper some use baking paper when pressing.
Whats the actual reason to do so?
It's basically just to protect the heat mat in the mug press from any ink blowout or soak though.
If you don't have that extra layer you can end up with ink on the heater that gets pressed onto the next mug. I just use copier paper as it's cheap enough. you just need something to take up any extra ink and stop it contaminating the next mug.
Thanks, CPW much appreciated that what I was thinking when I seen the Printer paper used then I have seen Teflon and was thinking why Teflon.
