    Shipping larger orders

    Hi Guys
We have been asked to quote 300 printed mugs
This is more than we have ever done before and I was wondering what your suggestions are for shipping them.
300 mugs is over 100Kg in weight so would probably have to go on a pallet
Can you suggest shipping companies that can handle this
    Thanks Guys
    Paul

Have a look for companies offering 1/4 & 1/2 pallet rates to help keep costs down. I guess it's around 8 boxes so still worth checking out companies that will send as individual boxes.

You could check out companies like Shiply, they bid on your business so you'll often find companies looking for smaller deliveries/back loads to help them out. If you try this the first quotes you'll get will be silly, £800 probably :-) Stick with it and you'll start to see quotes dip lower and lower until someone comes in with a decent quote. Quick example, I got a very large 50kg boxed heat-press from London to Aberdeen, quote I accepted was £70 for door to door service.

If you have any local haulage/transport companies you could pop in and ask if they have any vehicles headed in the region you're wanting the delivery. They may do you a good deal for a one off.

Also check out DPD. They have a maximum consignment weight of 30kg, but are showing a cost of 21.59 incl. vat for next day door to door (collected from your premises). If you can send as 3 consignements it could be as cheap as a pallet.
DPD also offer big discounts if you take to a drop off centre - often a local branch of Halfords - of 10.19 incl vat for a max of 20kg. 5 x 20kg consignments would be £51
