Hi. Is anyone using an oven for enamel mugs (11oz listawood)? We are having major problems using Adkins mug press with these enamel mugs in that we cannot get consistent results and often get fading at one corner.
We took Listawood advice and tried our vacuum mug oven at 200c for 3 minutes and the result for 95% positive but without a wrap then we noticed slight blurring on some parts of the artwork due to lack of pressure.
So is there a wrap that can be used in an oven as the normal green ones for 10/11oz mugs have the metal parts which are both too big for the handle but also easily chip the enamel.
We did try wrapping heat tape around the whole mug which made better results.
Or - do we bite the bullet and just buy a Genie III press which claims a mug can be done in 40s?
Hmmmmm
