There is a super alternative to TruPix Paper

Thanks firstly to customprintwales for the initial lead.

We have completed our testing of a matte photo paper as an alternative to TruPix and have decided as a company to move across to it for items we print on the flat press (basically everything but mugs).

This matt photo paper has made the artwork pop out that little bit more as well as being cheaper which certainly helps in this game.

This is the paper for those interested in trying it for themselves:

It is £9.70 (inc vat with free postage) for 60 A3 sheets so 16p a sheet.

Sudden thought, did you re-profile or did it just work without a new profile?

Sorry for delay JMugs. It worked fine with our existing profile so no change needed.

Yes. Absolutely. We are changing none of our printing methods or profiles just swapping the trupix paper for this matt photo paper. We just purchased 600 sheets.

They sell it on their ebay site if you want to avoid the £7.95 postage and try out a single 60 sheet box.

Postage on their site is free. You need to change dropdown on checkout to the Free Postage option.

What paper settings do you use if printing from an Epson?

Purchased some and having a bit of an issue with it grabbing from the feed tray using a 1500W
